This romantic getaway is just three and one-half hours from Vancouver or less than one hour from Kelowna. It is easily accessible in any season, minutes off the Okanagan Connector (Hwy 97C), midway between Merritt and Peachland.

About 1,500 square feet in area on three floors, it includes two bedrooms and a loft which accommodate up to eight adults comfortably. This modern, spacious, and very comfortable chalet is of log construction with some funky handcrafted touches. It is fully equipped with all amenities, including full kitchen, microwave, claw foot tub and shower, electric baseboards, DVD, VCR, stereo system and a barbeque on the large deck overlooking the beautiful mountain lake.

In the summer you can catch some rays on the sandy beach by day, or enjoy the beachfront fire pit and listen to the loons calling across the lake under a canopy of stars. In the winter, snuggle in front of the fireplace after a day of cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing or ice fishing.

Rainbow trout abound, and a small rowboat is available for your use. (To maintain the serenity of the lake, outboards are restricted to 10 H.P.)

Fitness enthusiasts will enjoy mountain biking, swimming, running, or hiking. In the winter you can cross country ski across the lake and through myriad trails, meadows and back roads. Nearby Kane Valley is a popular cross-country area with a labyrinth of groomed trails.
